Bonus Room After

Movie theather touches abound in the new bonus room...real movie theater poster frames, an actual theater seat and two leather recliner theater chairs for viewing.

Dave repainted a gun metal gray to help cut down on reflection during movie viewing and added his own big screen.

Dave converted the walk-in closet to a DVD closet.

Dining Room After

No signs of the old blue and pink floral paper to be found...THANK GOD!

Kitchen After

Kitchen After

Great area for eating and relaxing...my favorite color green.

Kitchen After

New paint, flooring, window seat, window coverings, light fixtures, countertops (not seen in this picture obviously) and tile...and faucet too. We spend more than half our time in this area of the house.

Playroom After

Playroom After

A place for Sarah and Ruby to have fun and relax.

Playroom After

Playroom After

It's a wonderful room for play.

The inside of the closet still retains that bright yellow and green paint scheme...behind closed doors though.

Gone are the bright, primary colors...replaced by girly pinks, yellows and blues.

The Girls' Bath

The Girls' Bath

Slightly blurry...but the vanity nonetheless.

The Girls' Bath

The Girls' Bath

All pink and yellow...Sarah's favorite colors. And buggy...she loves butterflies and ladybugs! The painting above the toilet is of two girls in a bubble bath together. It's personalized with their initials and one is bigger to represent Sarah and one smaller to be Ruby of course.

The Girls' Bath

The Girls' Bath

There aren't any before pics of the girls' bath. To give you an idea...it was BRIGHT TEAL/Aqua with fish cutouts all over the walls and a dingy/dark vanity. Very different now obviously. The room is too tiny to get get good pics...the other side of the room is reflected in the mirror.

New paint and drapes were all that was needed...and some of our touches.

Bonus Room Before

Bonus Room Before

This is the way the old homeowners had it set up.

Dining room Before

Dining room Before

Needless to say, the old dining room was NOWHERE near our taste. Nothing in this room, but for the floors, is the same.

Dining Room After

Dining Room After

With new paint, wallpaper, furnishings, drapes, lighting fixture...it's a dining room we love.

Kitchen Before

Kitchen Before

Again, nothing about the kitchen was in our taste/style. I HATED this room for the few months I had to live with it before redoing it, seriously HATED it. Who uses baby blue countertops, really?

Living room Before

Living room Before

Not bad, but needs some work. We moved the French doors to open into the dining room to give easier access to the back door and the other wall they opened on to...painted it in a warmer tone and added drapes.

One major change is the armoire...thank goodness for the 20 foot vaulted ceiling.

Sarah's Room/Playroom Before

Sarah's Room/Playroom Before

This room is downstairs and became Sarah's room when we first moved in. It was cute then. But when we moved her upstairs a few months ago, this became OUR playroom...with a much different flair.

Another view of our living room after we put our touch on it. No before pic of this either. The shelves were here when we bought the house. Old owners used them for books...we saw a much different use obviously.
